Kevin Koethe
Kevin Koethe (b.1988) creates abstract paintings as a way of examining the ordinary forms that reside in the background of our lives. He highlights the beauty of the underside of a flower or the light of a railway signal on the side of the tracks. Through perfectly balanced color and shape, he applies acrylic paint to canvas or paper as a way of zooming in and making us appreciate the beauty in small things. When creating his compositions, Kevin draws from his imagination and dreams as inspiration. Kevin lives and works in the southern suburbs of Philadelphia.
